Starter Armor
Is there a point of me keeping the starter armor i get from Guild Wars Prophecies?
Is it good for anything? I can't sell it since its worth 0. What's the best thing i can do with it? |

If you're making the character with the intention of building them up into some kind of Spirit Bond tank, then it's useful. Otherwise, ditch it.

Farming will work just as well with low armor pieces you can buy. I'd suggest throwing it away since you're probably having inventory crisis if you recently started playing.

Farming is when you got into an area again and again and kill the same foes over and over again strictly for the drops (usually in high end areas or hard mode where rare drops are more frequent). The 600/smite build is also used for running dungeons. You and your hero do all the work and you charge 6 people 2-15k each to come along for the ride. If you are a monk and planning to do that, keep the armor. Otherwise its fairly useless.

you can use different armor(assuming lowest al beside the starter). However, having the starter armor helps. If you are 600/smite you do not want to have too much hp, because then spirit bond can't cancel it. Check out the build to understand it more.

Imo if you're new enough that you don't even know what farming is then trash the starter armor. Play through the games and if you decide to farm later (you don't need to in GW) then the next lowest AL armor works perfectly fine.

Perfectly described. I agree with Marty 100%. Delete the armor and don't worry about it, especially since you're a ranger, and have no need for it ^^

This is your best option and way to go. Remove the Starter armor once you have another set of armor. You don't need it. If you are that "new" to the concept of farming and mabye even to Guild Wars i strongly suggest that you play through the game as you would do normaly and in your own way. Don't worry about it. |

But you're new. That is stuff to think about much later into the game. So I repeat... Trash Bin |
